Alvaro Barrington
— Fabrication & Metalwork Support
Courtyard London has partnered with artist Alvaro Barrington across multiple major exhibitions, providing structural fabrication and bespoke metalwork essential to realising Barrington’s ambitious, multidimensional practice. From exhibition framing to custom-built supports, Scot’s work underpins the physical foundation of several large-scale installations.
The collaboration spans solo shows at South London Gallery (Spider the Pig, Pig the Spider), Corvi-Mora (Garvey: The Reprise), Thaddaeus Ropac (They Got Time: YOU BELONG TO THE CITY), and the presentation at Tate Britain as part of Now You See Us: Women Artists in Britain 1520–Now. Across each project, Courtyard London’s precision metalwork brings technical fluency to Barrington’s explorations of texture, history, and cultural identity; supporting pieces that combine painting, sculpture and textiles.
Working closely with Barrington and his studio team, Courtyard London has fabricated sculptural frames, wall mounts, and complex armatures that blend into the artworks while carrying heavy visual and physical loads.
