Founded by Scot Sherrard, Courtyard London is a specialist metalwork studio based in the UK. With over two decades of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, Scot transitioned from a successful career in the automotive and motorsport industries to establish a workshop dedicated to precision craftsmanship, creative fabrication, and bespoke metal design.
Drawing on years of designing and building race cars, Courtyard brings a deep understanding of engineering and materials to every project; whether it’s one-of-a-kind furniture, architectural installations, set design, or on-site metalwork. The studio is known for its ability to collaborate closely with clients across a range of sectors including retail, hospitality, art, and design, turning ideas into functional, original pieces with a high standard of finish.
Most recently, Scot’s work for the Made With Love shop in London, designed in collaboration with Studio MASH, was shortlisted for a British Institute of Interior Design Award. The nomination recognises the seamless integration of bespoke metalwork into high-end interior environments; a hallmark of Courtyard London’s approach to both commercial and artistic commissions.
